At the moment, companies are creating the balance sheet voluntarily – the Common Welfare Economy movement advocates the idea that all companies should be legally obliged to create the Common Welfare Balance Sheet.

The Common Welfare Balance Sheet is an instrument which is created by the companies themselves. Auditors then review the balance sheet results of the pioneers. A further goal is to establish certification standards for auditors.

Consultants support companies in creating the balance sheet. They contribute to the development of the Common Welfare Balance Sheet and train fellow auditors. A future project will be building a Common Welfare Academy.
